Build A Street: English Country Village is Here!

English Country Village StreetI’m excited to share the news: my Build A Street: English Country Village set hit the DAZ 3D store today in time for you to snap it up at March Madness prices. You’ll get up to 50% off straight out the gate. I worked so hard on this environment to get it looking as convincing as possible and to make it fun and easy to use both as pictured and for creating your own scenes. It has been a long time coming and now that it’s finally here I hope you all enjoy it.

This is my first product as a DAZ PA and I’m proud to join the ranks of published artists whose creations are brokered by the company.

Build A Street was inspired by the pretty English villages that can still be found dotted around the country, and in particular by the golden stone of the Cotswolds (for those not familiar with British geography, this is the name of a hilly and picturesque region in the south west of England). The 5 houses sit on a cobbled street, but each one can be used individually or lined up in different configurations. Ivy, lantern and sign props are also included, but each house has a ‘bare’ option so you can ornament it or not as you please. The small terraced-style cottages also have an option without chimneys to let you line them up in a row.

It took a couple of photo expeditions (complete with funny looks from passers-by) and long hours in front of the computer to get the look just right for this street and houses. However, I’m proud of how it turned out. I think it will be great for historical and fantasy renders, as well as a backdrop for modern scenes set in this part of the world.

Also Released Today

Of course, as this is March Madness, it’s not all about me… though I do hope you’ll give Build A Street: English Country Village a look today.

There’s also a cute Fairy Nook out with the prettiest flower lanterns (lighting is included). It’s by 3D-GHDesign and vikike176, which will be perfect for all your faerie scenes.

There’s also a bunch of content just released for your G2F characters. These include a new Lyoness girl, Darby, a petite young lady with expressive eyes. Nikisatez has a new blouse and skirt outfit for your office workers, the Workday Dress 2 for G2F. There’s also a Sexy Stewardess for G2F outfit that’s a DAZ Original, and an embellished Little Laces Bikini for G2F that has day and night texture options.

For hair, SWAM’s back again today with Ibby Hair, which will fit G2F and V4. It’s a sweet style with a pretty bow hairband.

    Ooh, comments are back again.

English Street looks fantastic, Indigo. So useful, and with enough options to make them work in scenes anywhere from the late-17th century onwards. You could project them either further back with leaded and/or mullioned windows and less modern-looking doors – a future expansion pack perhaps?

This should have been the product they chose to put in the banner today, instead of the sexist – sorry “sexy” stewardess costume they went with. I know skimpwear sells, but that one crosses a line for me.

I’d be interested to read more about the process of making these, and of getting accepted as a Daz PA.

Thanks Chris, thrilled to hear people like my street. I’ll be happy to put something together about the creation and publishing (which can be a long and stressful process, it has to be said). I was wanting to get back into more informational posts… the daily deals are nice to have for the records but a bit of a chore sometimes. It will be good to mix it up.

I had to switch comments off as the spammers were hitting hard, but it seemed a shame to have them off on my product’s launch day. So yes, they are back for now (and thanks as always for taking the time to comment) but I’m sure the queue will start filling again with all the usual rubbish… sigh… what can you do?

This is such a beautiful image! It reminds me of a small village I visited in Scotland several years ago. There are times when I wished we still dressed like the lady in your picture. Not to mention how it makes me think that we all need to take time to look at the \”geese\” in our own world.

    • Indigo says:

Hello you! Thanks for stopping by and for the lovely comment. I had fun making these models, and yes it would be fun to go back in time… if only for the dresses!
