OK, I know the Platinum Club price change proposals are controversial, and that many of us on PC+ beta are eagerly awaiting the end of the month. Everyone likes getting a top quality 3d model for under $2. Being fair to the PC team, though, the $2.30 that new PC+ releases are starting from is still an incredible deal. For instance today there’s a new FWArt character, Nikki, who will transform your Aiko 6 with a new custom shape (head and body) and photographic skin textures, and includes a variety of make-ups (some fantasy ones too) and even the promo lights. Or you could go spend that $2.30 on some junk food and watch your waistline expand. Your choice.
Jack Tomalin has new models for us too, and his Divinity Skies Rapture I and II are well worth searching around for a few extra dollars to buy. Take a look at all the work that must have gone into these (the second one expands the first and includes that rock base in the promo as well as various interior and foliage details).
Or forget the overpriced coffee and you could snap up Sarsa’s newest textures for the Piratess outfit, a collection that’s perfect for kitbashing. Will we save 30 cents if we wait a couple of weeks? I don’t know, it seems we will but nothing has been inscribed in stone. Of course, you’ll need the base outfit, and you’ll save more on that by waiting, but just be prepared that change is coming and that this price ($3.56) could become standard for PC clothes. And I personally don’t think it’s an unreasonable price, though I do agree that we’ve been used to $1.99 and so the change is not particularly welcome for all that.
Anyhow, if there is anything exciting to tell you about by way of new releases later, maybe I’ll replace some of these ramblings. For now, only the PC items are new, though you might want to also take a look at the multi-buy promotion from Feral Fey (discounts go to 60% if you buy 3 or more sale items), or revisit yesterday’s releases for some extra money off if you buy the Creature Creator product. More details for that can be had by visiting the current promotions page.
No change yet to Fast Grab so it’s still very much Michael 5’s show over there. There are still fantastic prices to be had on his top bundles.
Want a free Industrial Compressor? Yes, a virtual one, naturally! (So much easier to carry around.) Then get yourself over to the Freebies Page where you can claim one.

New Today on DAZ3D: Wednesday 16th
Only PC products so far (listed below)
New This Week to Platinum Club: July 16th-22nd
- Divinity Skies Rapture I by Jack Tomalin. This soaring tower is the base set, though there’s nothing ‘basic’ about it with all that fine detail and superb texture work. From the fluttering flag to the pitted and weathered stonework, this quality model will let you create fantasy strongholds for your mythical battles.
- Divinity Skies Rapture II by Jack Tomalin. An add-on pack that’s part props and part extra detail. You’ll get a large, rocky base for the tower, plus staircases, tangled ivy, and inner walls.
- FW Nikki by FWArt. This female character is intended for use with Aiko6. I don’t know yet whether she uses an Aiko6 specific UV for her skin materials, but the shape won’t look the same if you don’t own Aiko. That said, what great value she is! Lots of makeup and eye options let you give her a range of fantasy looks or go for something more realistic for an Eastern girl.
- Buried Treasure for Piratess by Sarsa. A texture add-on worth digging for! I love the two different looks Sarsa has created here. As I mentioned above, this outfit is a kit-basher’s dream. (Kitbashing: mixing and matching outifts, props or environments to create something new.)
